Whose sample is it?

An elderly man of Indian descent comes into your pharmacy. You have not seen him before.

You advertise a pregnancy testing service. He hands a urine sample to you and asks you to check it. He adds, “My partner cannot come in herself and has asked me to get this processed.”

You are not sure where you stand, legally or ethically. You know nothing about the man, or his partner. And you have no idea where the sample has come from, nor how it was obtained.

What should you do?

It is proposed that you should refuse to do the test
